PETCO'S "Dress Your Pet Padres Style" Contest Rules

The PETCO "Dress Your Pet Padres Style" contest photo submission begins at 9:00 a.m. PST on April 6, 2009 and ends at 5 p.m. PST on August 30, 2009. Contest will be conducted and sponsored by PETCO Animal Supplies Inc., 9125 Rehco Road, San Diego, CA 92121 (hereinafter "PETCO").
Contest Rules & Regulations

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Entrants/Winners must be legal residents of the U.S. who are 18 years of age or older as of April 6, 2009, excluding all full or part-time employees of PETCO, Padres LP and parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies of each, as well as their agents and representatives. This offer is void wherever prohibited and subject to all federal, state and local laws. 
  2. To be eligible, your submission must include:
    • Photo of pet in costume
    • Pet Name
    • Owner First and Last Name
    • Owner Email Address
    • All eligible entries must be received by August 30, 2009 at 5 p.m. PST.
    • Only one entry per pet
  3. Photos must be your original work and you must have full ownership rights to the photo. Do not include humans in the photographs. Photos are not returnable. PETCO is not responsible for electronic attachments (i.e., .jpeg or .gif) that cannot be opened due to conditions beyond its control, including without limitation, corrupt files, viruses, etc. Photos become the property of PETCO which will have the right, without further consideration, to modify and/or use them in its catalog, website and in any other publication for promotional purposes. By entering, you agree to PETCO’s use of your pet's name and likeness for promotional purposes in its TV, radio, website and any other publication for promotional purposes.
  4. PRIZE:  Winners will have their pet’s photo featured on the FriarVision big screen during one or more Padres regular season home games at PETCO Park. Game/s in which the winners are featured are at the discretion of PETCO.
  5. SELECTION OF WINNERS: Winners will be chosen by a panel of PETCO employees. PETCO’s panel of judges will select winners based on the costume, pet’s photogenic quality, creativity of the costume, as well as Padres spirit. Winners will be posted on the Dress Your Pet Padres Style site accessible from PETCO.com/PETCOPark beginning April 24, 2009 and may be featured in various promotional materials. The selection process will be conducted under the supervision of PETCO, whose decisions are final and binding. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
  6. PETCO will make best efforts to notify winners. Winners will be notified by the email provided in the contest submission process by entrants, who are solely responsible for accuracy.
  7. Entrants, by participating in the Contest, agree to waive any and all claims of liability against PETCO and their parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies and agencies, representatives and employees from any accident, loss or injury occurring from this promotion or in any way related to the prize or the use or misuse thereof.
  8. Entrants, by participating in the Contest, agree to the use of their names, photographs, information provided during the contest submission process and likeness for purposes of advertising, trade and promoting in any and all media on behalf of PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc., without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
